One country, several distinct sailing personalities. The Ionian is often chosen for gentler island-hopping; the Saronic combines easy access from Athens with varied stops; the Cyclades can deliver stronger seasonal winds and a more energetic sailing experience.
Croatia combines a dense chain of islands with historic coastal towns and a well-developed charter infrastructure. Many routes can be built around manageable legs, but local winds and busy high-season harbours still reward good planning.
